Large Polyp Stony corals are hard corals that usually have larger, fleshier polyps. They
have a hard skeleton and tend to grow faster and larger than small polyp stony corals.
Some LPS corals can be aggressive. Their stings can be potent and they may even
produce sweeper tentacles that can sting their neighbors, so understanding proper
placement in the tank is important.
Caring for LPS corals can be pretty simple. Most LPS Corals like medium lighting and a
low to moderate water current that will bring them food and nutrients.
